I'm not sure how or why this fad of stand up surfing has caught on so fast, but it is spreading very quickly and at each well known surf break, as far as i've seen, there are at least 2 or 3 stand up surfers (with the exception of cardiff where their numbers are in the 10's.) i don't have too much of a problem with it as long as they aren't catching every single wave and give other people a chance. i haven't tried it yet so i can't really talk too much about how easy it is but from what i have seen, it seems make the surfer able to catch any wave he/she wants.
